Photos — The Way North

Trollstigen, or "Trolls' Path" is a series of eleven haripin turns up the mountainside to a high glacial plateau. We had to descend these turns to continue our way north. Dad is an old mountain driver so we got through without incident.

At the base of this airfield peaks the Bodo Air Museum. Not only did we see an exhibit on the Little Norway air training camp in Canada, but the same model of the plane our grandpa flew for the Crown Prince.

This old hospital ship sat in the harbor at Stavanger. A relic of a time gone by in a modern world. The Crown Prince Victory tour stopped here and held a massive celebration in 1945 with fireworks and crowds filling the city.
